Canadian Federation of Biological Societies
The Federation aims to promote 'the acquisition, the dissemination and encourage the utilization of knowledge in the biomedical/Life Sciences...' Its web-site has been established 'to communicate issues of importance to the biological/life science community as they arise and to receive input from its members. The web also includes a newsletter to aid in the dissemination of information related to science policy subjects under consideration, programs of upcoming meetings, government appointments of interest to the Research Community, new sources of research funds, timing, location and themes of future scientific meetings of CFBS and its Societies. Other materials are included when appropriate.'

Canada's Government agency that supports scientific and technological research and development. The website has information gateways for business, researchers, students and teachers, the media, and hte public as well as for NRC employees.

Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada
The NSERC is a research funding body for the natural sciences and engineering, including mathematics and technology. The website includes information on curent programs, and how to make an application. The "Find a Canadian expert" database holds details on awards made over the past 10 years. The "PromoScience" funding program, supports activities that encourage young people to become interested in science and technology.

Royal Society of Canada
The national academy for promoting learning and research in the humanities and sciences. The website contains information on current members, activities, and publications. The Proceedings of the Royal Society are published online from 2001 onwards.
