Aboriginal Canada Portal
A single window to Canadian Aboriginal on-line resources, contacts, information,
and government programs and services. It covers key issues such as national
Aboriginal organisations, language, heritage, culture, claims & treaties,
justice, health, economic development, business, tourism, elders, women,
both federally and in each of the provinces. The Portal is a partnership
between the Government of Canada and the Assembly of First Nations, Inuit
Tapiriit Kanatami, the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, the Métis
National Council, the Native Women's Association of Canada, and the Council
for the Advancement of Native Development Officers.

Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs
The goal of the AMC site is to present the diversity
of Manitoba's First Nations in a more thorough and evenly balanced light
and provide a First Nations view on the factors that make all of us different
and unique, yet united as one, in our journey toward self government.
It hopes to provide the public with accurate and useful information that
will inspire further reading and help correct any/all misconceptions that
may still exist in informed society. These sources will be derived from

British Museum Department of Ethnography
Objects in the British Museum collections that tell
the history of North America before European settlement and modern Native
history are held by the Department of Ethnography (they were formerly
at the Museum of Mankind). The J P Morgan Chase Gallery of North America

Canadian Native Law Cases
A database of all reported Canadian Court decisions
relating to Native Law issues from 1763-1978, made freely available on
the Internet. Cases on appeal to the Privy Council from Canada and some
previously unreported cases are also included in the service. Browse options,
subject index search and full text search facilities are provided. The
database is hosted and maintained by the Native Law Centre of Canada at
the University of Saskatchewan.

Commonwealth Policy Studies Unit: Indigenous Rights

A project to highlight the issues facing the indigenous
peoples of the Commonwealth of Nations, including Canada, and to place

Curtis's The North American Indian (1907-1930), including images and
descriptions. Includes extensive information on Canada's First Nations.

Pitt Rivers Museum Oxford
The Pitt Rivers Museum at the University of Oxford
collects and displays archaeological and ethnographic objects from all
parts of the world. The permanent displays, arranged according to type,
contain numerous items of Canadian interest, including masks from North
America, Inuit fur parkas, Plains skin shirts decorated with porcupine
quills, painted coats and a range of decorated moccasins. There is also
a collection of Native American photographs.
